The Board of Directors of Wildberriz Bank has appointed Georgy Gorshkov to the post of Chairman of the Board of the Bank. Until May 2025, he oversaw the retail business of VTB (MOEX: VTBR) as deputy chairman of the board.

«The decision was made to strengthen the staff, taking into account the plans for the growth of Wildberry Bank’s business, expanding the product line and improving the customer experience. At the same time, an important priority is to maintain stable work and rapid development, «- said the press service of the RVB (united company Wildberries & Russ).

The RVB clarified that the main tasks of Mr. Gorshkov will be to determine the long-term strategy of Wildberriz Bank, search for new business niches and develop fintech services.

As Kommersant wrote, on July 14, Georgy Gorshkov became the head of the RVB fintech direction. The interviewed experts said that the appointment of Mr. Gorshkov to the post of chairman of the board of Wildberries Bank would be a clear signal that Wildberries seriously intends to develop the banking direction.
